I was inspired to write this post after watching Estee Lalonde’s video on YouTube, as it made me think about the things that I should make more time for.
I moved to London about a month and a half ago now and I only actually brought 3 books along with me. I have hundreds back home in Cornwall which I thought I wouldn’t have space to bring. Now I’ve read these 3 books I should really buy some new ones or get some of my other books sent to me. All I’m reading at the moment is books about journalism – *sigh*. I’m not saying these books are boring, but I am saying that I’d rather read Stephen King.
My university gym only costs £72 for the whole year, which my friends suggested signing up to. However, I didn’t bring my trainers or any clothes suitable for exercise to London with me. As soon as I go back to Cornwall next week and retrieve them, I am definitely going to hit the gym. I also considered joining the netball team, which is very difficult without a pair of trainers.
I actually really enjoy cooking and I haven’t been opting for takeaways (apart from the odd drunken McDonalds) whilst living in London. Recently though, I’ve become so tired in the evenings that I can’t bear the thought of cooking, so I just don’t eat. Also, sometimes I get in from uni at 1:30pm and don’t move from my laptop until I’ve finished all of my work: usually at 11pm. This is far too late to start cooking so I just crawl straight into bed. To make sure I eat regularly I’ve been using my Blend Active to make sure I’ve got breakfast or lunch sorted; I just need to work on dinner now.
If I feel like I need to finish my university work I’ve been staying up as late as 2am just to get it out of the way. This isn’t healthy when you wake up at 7:30am everyday. I should probably start turning off my laptop at a certain time each evening so I’m not tempted to do an all-nighter.
After work and university I don’t actually have a lot of time left to visit all of the wonderful places in London that I’m itching to see. I’m also dying to go to some more film premieres to see if I can rub shoulders with any celebrities. Remember The Intern premiere?
Thanks for reading!
